Looking through some of the data that exists on AMS and soybean yield, I find myself optimistic about the Supplement Your Soybeans field trial. I’ve used sulfur before on my soybeans – for years actually – but nitrogen and sulfur seem like just the right combination for soybeans. I wasn’t aware that soybeans only fix about 50% of the nitrogen they need, so I may have been depleting nitrogen in my soybean fields too early in prior years. I’ll be interested to see how late season beans look in this test field this year.
